I thought I had previously released this one but it didn't populate in the bot archives so maybe I didn't. If I didn't, and it's possible I did, there was likely a number of reasons it wasn't top of mind.

As mentioned in the included newspaper article, it was a stormy night in Oklahoma City and rained before the show. By showtime the rain had subsided but the wind had not, this wreaked a bit of havoc on the sound. I've removed the majority of the wind gusts through the magic of iZotope so if you happen to have a traded or previous copy of this show from my capture this is the first time it appears minus the wind gusts.

Second reason it wasn't top of mind, I discovered sometime in the 2000's the tapes were deteriorating and though it did not affect the actual recording it was affecting a clean transfer. I ended up having to re-shell the tape with the majority of the show on it, after getting one clean transfer I transferred the show to CD. Fortunately, the CD held up and that is the ultimate source of this torrent (master tapes re-shelled > Nakamichi CR-5A > Audacity > CDR).

I am pleased to offer James Taylor's 1986 tour stop on a stormy night in Oklahoma City.

The deteriorating tape and need to re-shell it apparently wreaked serious havoc all over the tape, thanks to Goody's never ending work on my releases we are for the first time also running at the correct pitch.
