i recorded this band at least ten times back in the day, mainly because I loved
Tony Catania's playing and the chemistry that he had with Jason. There was a real
energy there, and I was fortunate enough to capture a lot of it. This Thanksgiving Day
gig was easily one of the most unique and best shows of them all. There are three songs
played on this night that were never played at any other JBB show that I attended
before, or after. This night felt special, and the band was on fire.

Unfortunately, I had failed to consider how difficult it would be to procure batteries
on Thanksgiving Day! This was way before the modern era of convenience stores, and back
then, very little was actually open on a holiday. The few gas stations that were open only
carried the very cheapest of batteries. So, if I remember correctly, I used one set of
brand new cheap ones, and also took in a set of used AA's, and this still wasn't enough,
thus the incomplete songs.

Special thanks to my Mom, who did not hesitate when I asked her if we could move our
Thanksgiving Day plans by one day, in order to allow me to attend this show. This once
recording of a once in a lifetime gig, with it's very unique setlist, would not exist
without her loving unselfishness. I love and miss you terribly Mom, you were the best!
