This was from the "Music For Marines" concert Saturday at the Shoals Theater in Florence, Ala. Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Sons of Roswell, Barrelmouth and 1 Way Street played for free to raise money for the Matthew Conley Fund and a couple of other military charities like the Wounded Warrior Project.

Not sure about 1 Way Street, but some of the members of Barrelmouth and Sons of Roswell grew up with Jason in Greenhill, Ala. That led to a couple of funny moments and lots of local commentary and stories from the stage.

During the Sons of Roswell set, Browan Lollar (400 Unit guitarist) and Todd Holler (400 Unit soundman) came on stage dressed in medieval garb they found back stage and walked around the band with a large bottle of Jack Daniels. It was totally unexpected and funny as hell.

But payback is hell. During "Never Gonna Change" about eight or so guys from the other bands came out from behind the curtain in similar costumes and danced around the band. The band never missed a beat. Jason commented: "that's what happens when you get too many people from Greenhill in the same place at the same time."

All in all it was a great show. MSTaper Jr. and I had all access passes, which meant free beer, etc. There should be some videos up at YouTube.com/Will24411 in a few weeks. enjoy!
