In 2009,Jay Farrar (Son Volt) and Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie) colaborated on songs inspired by Jack Kerouac's Big Sur. Setting Kerouac's words to music, they recorded the soundtrack for the movie "One Fast Move or I'm Gone: Kerouac's Big Sur." Farrar and Gibbard toured together briefly soon after the movie and album were released. This performance in Boulder is the only one I've seen from that tour. This torrent appeared briefly on etree (currently there w/no seeds) and TTD (1 seed), but deserves some time here on DIME.
