Comments:

After a 16-year hiatus, founding Jayhawks member rejoined the band for a series of shows at the First Avenue club in their hometown, Minneapolis. Despite having been away for quite a while, Olson reintegrated seamlessly into the band, and the setlists were tight and energetic. The band played 36 songs over the three-night stand, almost entirely consisting of material from their first four albums (prior to Olson's departure) and covers. Collectively these three shows represent a great cross-section of the band's early material, and a great showcase of Olson's and Louris's harmonic brilliance.

This lineup toured extensively through 2011 and released one new album, "Mockingbird Time." Unfortunately, Mark Olson left the band again shortly thereafter.

All three recordings are excellent, with high-end gear and a good line on the PA.

Many thanks to the anonymous taper for sharing this more widely. Mp3 samples are included in the comments.
