Here's some classic JMP from the tiny Last Elm Cafe. I caught almost every one of their gigs there between the summer of '95 when I moved to Burlington (and for a while, lived just a few doors down from the Cafe) through May of '97 when they completely outgrew the space. Even by the fall of '95, there were typically dozens of people hanging around the outside of the Cafe during these shows, even in the dead of winter, since the room only fit about 50 people. There were two of us who were almost always taping these concerts ... the owner of the Schoepps which were set up directly in front of the musicians, and me. I ran my Sony D6, and he ran a DAT machine ... however, I fell out of touch with this guy over a decade ago (you out there, buddy?) and have never seen digital copies of these gigs turn up (but they DO exist). These analog masters still sound pretty sharp, hope you'll enjoy.

Filler notes:
Personnel on filler is unknown, though my best guess is that jamie is joined by Noel Sagerman and drums Ian McDougall on bass, since that's who he brought when I "booked" the JMP for a gig at my Hampshire College dorm in December of '93. Source also unknown ... received as filler in a trade about a dozen years ago, so there are at least a couple of cassette generations in there. Still, it's some of the earliest JMP I've found anywhere.
