I uploaded Stevie Ray Vaughan's set from this night yesterday (18 August 2012), so now I add the Jeff Beck set.

This is another Brett R. recording. I asked him if I could borrow his master DAT (or if he would send me a DAT clone), but the 1st generation cassettes
is all I could pry out of him. This torrent was mastered by The New Guy from those cassettes. This has been seeded before, but TLH found an SBE error,
so I ran it through the fix. Artwork by The New Guy is included.

Sound quality is very good, about a B, possibly a B+. There is some echo and boominess, but Brett's gear is pretty good, and it's well worth your time.

This concludes the 19 Aug 2012 text file update. The New Guy's original text continues below.

Enjoy,
John Langdon (FLashfan)

John Langdon has been taping shows for more than twenty years, a great many of them documenting the music scene in Albuquerque in the 80s and 90s.
Most of his shows are on tape cassettes, but a great many of them are on seven or ten inch reels. Over the course of time they will begin to see
the light of day and be shared with music lovers everywhere. Additionally, he has further documented many of these shows with photographic images,
which will be the basis for the artwork created for these shows. Thanks to John for his generosity in sharing what he's collected.

Tingley Coliseum was built for rodeos in the 1950s and was never intended for sonically pristine audio performances, let alone fantastic recordings.
The seating areas ran down the long sides, but there wasn't any seating at either end because that space was reserved for cowboys and livestock.
Additionally, the floors were concrete but the real problem was that the upper portion of the building is wood. When the volume went up, the building
resonated, muddying up the sound and turning the building itself into a kind of speaker...
