Jeff Beck Group
"BECK'S BEEB-LERO"
BBC Sessions, March 7, 1967 - September 17, 1968
- CAREFULLY COMPLETED COMPREHENSIVE COLLECTION -

**Contrast Clause RE my own torrent#516781**
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=516781

1) This new torrent comes with a newly found, hitherto uncirculated track, "Rock My Plimsoul", from the May 15, 1967 "Monday, Monday" BBC radio show. Thanks a kazillion, also on behalf of all Jeffonatix, to my swapmate Ashbo.
2) Also, the first track "I Ain't Superstitious" from the March 7, 1967 Saturday Club show underwent a highly necessary, MAJOR pitch correction by -7% (yes!);
3) all tracks were checked again and interference crackles were removed or (further) smoothened, the channel levels were individually auto-boosted wherever possible, plus minor edits applied for "cleaning", where necessary.

This is as good and as compehensive as it gets at this point in time, as far as I'm concerned. For your information and for completeness sake, find previous contrast clauses for my older torrent #516781 at the bottom of the info sheet.

Find all detailed info on the sessions below.
Please note: the addition of track #7 expands the collection to some 83 min. and thereby now makes two CDs necessary - other than you use a 90min./800MB CD-R.

Exemplary audio samples in comments.
Comes with full colour cover artwork using contemporary pix; two variations of back cover for either two regular CD-Rs or a single 80min./900MB CD-R. (PDF files). Comments welcome! :-)

Track listing and all details indispensable to a Jeff collector's life, re-using most of fellow-Dimer Jeff J.'s previous elaborate info, and crossed-checked with Chris Hjort's listings in his "Jeff's Book":

Phew! I hope you can enjoy these Jeffbo & Roddolino sessions all the more, now.

Please do NOT spread this show in lossy formats - otherwise: enjoy, trade, share!

Contrast Clauses for my own previous torrent#516781:

Contrast Clause #1 and info RE torrent#475102 2013 - RESEED offered by Jeffrey James (roryglzep@aol.com) on Dec. 13, 2013:

a) "Upgraded": After I finally downloaded Jeff J.'s kind offer, I compared the quality of his tracks & sessions with the ones in my collection and found that most are superior to what I had before, with one single exception: "I Ain't Superstitious" from the band's first, March 7, 1967 Saturday Club session which Jeff J. rated VG/EX was audiably better in my collection. Hence, I replaced it with mine.

b) "Expanded": For some strange reason, "This Morning" from the 2nd, July 4, 1967 Saturday Club session seemingly never appears in any listings; perhaps it just wasn't re-b'cast that often (if at all, for that matter). I had a pretty good sounding version which I spliced in where it belongs according to Chis Hjort's highly reliable and recommendable book "Jeff's Book".

c) "Corrected":
c1) The aforementioned "This Morning" does appear on the "London Sessions" bootleg CD (see contrast clause #2 below) but in much lesser quality than my copy (that whole boot sounds heavily EQ'ed, and runs fast throughout, anyway), wrongly listed as "Walking By the Railings" and as stemming from the Dave Symonds Show of September 9, 1967. Moan!
No tracks from that Symonds show have made it into wider circulation as of yet! Plus, Chris Hjort's book lists "Walking by the Railings" as a (presumed instrumental) 2:12 min. number, whereas "This Morning" runs almost 5 min.!

c2) Some radio host comments on certain songs were part of tracks they didn't belong to, i.e. the track markings were set wrongly (perhaps during the earlier DAT-to-CD-R transfer), so I edited them out with Audacity and placed them within the respective track they actually belonged to. No big deal but since I was at it anyway...

c3) I also edited out a total of ca. 35 seconds of silence or hiss from several tracks and thereby was able to trim down the total run time to less than 80 min. so you can burn yourself a single CD-R with ALL sessions and tracks. Nice, eh?

d) "Boosted": I noticed that all tracks on Jeff's torrent had an considerable low recording level - in some cases more, in others less. Hence, I decided to boost them all with Audactiy for an as full as possible audio image. BUT ALL SERIOUS COLLECTORS, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT! I exclusively used Audacity's automatic limiter which avoids any kind of clipping, OK? You may exhale now. :-)

Jeff's previous contrast clauses:
Contrast Clause #2: Previously a version of some of these tracks were offered at: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=474618
That previous offer was from the Liberated Bootleg "London Sessions", Head label, containing some of these BBC tracks. This offer comes from "Transcription LP" & "Tape" Sources.
That previous offer contains the two tracks from the October 9, 1967 BBC Session, where this offer does not.

Contrast Clause #3: Previously a version of this was offer at: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=472161
That previous version was from Mesquite's source, but with an extra Audio/DAE in the lineage. This 2013 RESEED offer is from Mesquite's originally offered tracks/files.

My previous offer of this recording asked if anyone on Dime had Mesquite's original files, & someone did step up with those/these.
Artwork: included, was made & posted in comments section when Mesquite originally made this great offer.

This is a 2006 RESEED, originally offered by Mesquite (THX!!!), including all original files.
I'm always looking for uncirculated, alternate versions, upgrades, etc., of anything Jeff Beck.
If you have any of those & can not share, please get them to someone who can do so - THX!!!
Length: 24 tracks = 74:21 minutes
Artwork: now included.
Samples: none.
Enjoy!!!
