This show was mastered by The New Guy from my master cassettes. It has been off the tracker since 2008,
so I thought I'd re-offer it for those who don't have it yet. As stated in the original info file, the
actual date of the show differs from the files, but the file titles have been left as originally created.

This torrent is not a re-seed of the original download files. I started with the files as provided to me
in The New Guy's original master. After removing the NAB tracks, TLH detected an SBE error, which I then
fixed. I created a new ffp file, and updated the Info file. I am not well versed in how all this works,
but if you downloaded the original torrent, you may not be able to help seed.

The JOHN LANGDON Series

A variety of uncirculated analog and digital masters,
spanning three decades...

JL-05
JEFFERSON AIRPLANE
Greek Theatre

Hot Tuna Set removed per Dime NAB rules. The show should now fit on one CD with those tracks removed.

John Langdon has been taping shows for more than twenty years, a great many of them documenting the music
scene in Albuquerque in the 80s and 90s. Most of his shows are on tape cassettes, but a great many of them
are on seven or ten inch reels. Over the course of time they will begin to see the light of day and be
shared with music lovers everywhere. Additionally, he has further documented many of these shows with
photographic images, which will be the basis for some of the artwork created for these shows. Thanks
to John for his generosity in sharing what he's collected.

John's Updated Note:

By the time of this recording, the Aiwa HS-J1 and stereo mike had been retired. I was recording with another
Aiwa stereo walkman (model unknown, priced about 60-80 bucks), using the stereo mike that came with the unit.
Pretty cheap mike, but better than the mono mike that was built into the HS-J1. I can't find the ticket stub,
but I remember that the show was on a Friday night... I went to the show without a ticket and while I was
standing in line at a ticket window, the show started. I was approached almost immediately by a scalper (who
was most likely worried about losing his investment) who offered me a ticket for less than the face value.
Since there were about 10 people ahead of me in line, I grabbed it. It turned out to be about a third of the
way back from the stage, left of center, about mid-row. (Slightly to the right of the left speaker stack.) ...
If my memory serves, the first song on the tape is the second song of the show, possibly joined in progress.

Note: The song he missed was "She Has Funny Cars." The correct date for this show was the 15th, not the 19th,
but rather than poison the torrent all the files have been left as originally saved.

Please listen to the samples before you download so you won't be disappointed by any deficits in the audio quality.
