::: VG+ stereo, clear AUD with some warts&hiss (&AUD). Check samples for "no way, nope" or "this is the dope" arbitration.
::: Warts: Dullspots, dropouts, clapping, yelling, mostly NOT addressed here (as per my usual efforts). Taper faded&cut off deck between songs (smoothed out here, but not ideal)&there are some split sec late starts. Some hiss. #08 cuts near end. #16 a hard listen as too much AUD participation.
::: Tho' taper shut off deck 'tween songs, other setlists&length indicate all songs played are probably here.
::: JS played Largo Aug.21&22. Jeff Beck Group opened 21st, but no confirmation found for opening band the 22nd.
::: Venue often noted as in Landover,MD but it was ~5 miles away in Largo,MD (both Washington,DC suburbs).
::: Still touring to promote"Spitfire"recorded March '76 Wally Heider Studios, San Francisco&released in June.
::: Yet another JS show that seems not to have visited digital-land & there are surely many more out there.

DimeTravel 695 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders! Thanks to DIMER gv0000 for his info assistance. ::: For Larry Boyd. He's missed - his lovely laugh & wry smiles & dedication to music he loved. ::: Corrections welcome ::: Kind of an aside, but I guess JS, or Paul at least, was psyched to play "DC" that summer, only 6 weeks after the July 4, 1976 People's Bicentennial Commission Rally on the National Mall, July 4, 1976 - sort of an early Rainbow People gathering, promoted by the Yippies & many other political action groups. I went up with a couple of real freaks/friends, Tim Hamer & Mark Steele, both of whom are no longer on this plane, in Mark's beat up old large Chevy(?), lotta hair on board(!) & praying for no police stop en route thru the south, first time I ran across Wavy Gravy & crew, out there on the lawn, that was quite a scene, some 200,000, as I recall & mostly wiped from history - too controversial & no money to made in the memories. Anyway, by the time, we'd written off this group - "Red Octopus" had been a hard pill to swallow), tho' in retrospect, there was still plenty to groove on, but it just wasn't up to the heaviness of Tuna, the Dead & the like, many of whom hadn't sold out & were going full-throttle in 1976. Even now, I generally have to piecemeal my way thru '76-78 era JS, especially when the master of pop is along (much as I love him), but there is always some joy to be had. Generally, things go better with Creach for diversity's sake, but he ain't here. No "Blows" suite, either, probably played it the 21st, but enough griping, there is some fine fish in the basket, omit the sinkers & let 'er rip! Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
