Jerry Jeff delivers a standout "Live Set" for Austins public radio station KUT, promoting the upcoming April release of Cowboy Boots & Bathin' Suits. The album, reminiscent of Jimmy Buffetts style, was recorded entirely in Belize and reignited his creative spark.
While his original songs on this project may not be as introspective or impactful as much of his 1990s work, the true highlights lie in the covers he selects. His "Fred Neil Medley"a beautiful fusion of Neils The Dolphins and Everybodys Talkinis a standout, along with his excellent rendition of the Beach Boys Sloop John B. One song from the show was featured on KUT's Live Set Volume 4.
Special thanks to Will S for sharing this tape and many others, and to Goody, our pitch master, for keeping everything finely tuned.
