::: Excellent FM studio recording. Samples provided for testament, testimony & trepidation relief, or to fan yer flames of interest.
::: Warts: As described below, there are some aging issues, mainly a bit of high end loss & know I missed a few dropouts. Should satisfy all but the most particular.
::: Recorded just a few weeks after the release of the "Light Shine" album.

Recording Information ::: KSAN-FM radio broadcast -> off-air FM stereo master tape -> 1st generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette, Dolby B on.

Playback 2011-07-11 ::: 1st generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette on Nakamichi BX-300 cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth & pitch adjusted, heads cleaned & demagnatized -> Tascam CD-RW900SL professional CD recorder -> CD-RW, no track splits -> computer -> EAC secure mode (logs made) -> wav file(s) -> Audacity (for fades or tragic error repair, volume adjustments, no EQ) -> CD Wave for track splits -> Flac Frontend. First uploaded week of 2012-01-18.

Line-up ::: Jesse Colin Young - guitar, vocals // Scott Lawrence - keyboards, harmony vocals // Charlie McCarthy - horns, flute // Kelly Bryan - bass // Jeffrey Myer - drums, percussion // plus Suzi (Jesse's wife) - vocals on Song For Juli.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. I did a lot of checking. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

CoolSonics 115 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: This was once a perfect FM quality broadcast tape, but it has aged. It is a bit muffled but sounded far too hissy with Dolby off. I did NO EQ on this, but for my own listening copy, I removed a bit of hiss & hum (easily sampled at the start) & raised the high end just a bit & it's absolutely lovely to listen to. Maybe someone has a reel-to-reel or rebroadcast master they could share..... This is Jesse in beautiful full-voice range form with a great band, totally relaxed in his home studio with family around, first class musicians, & clearly happy with his new material from "Light Shine", as well he should have been. Here ya go!

More recordings on the way, making up for years of slow netspeed. Kudos to Zongo for life support, Lochner for mikes & much more, & to Fast Freddie for runnin' Video Dick's Record Emporium with the bathroom office full of tape decks. Thanks to Hanwaker (few among us can keep his pace) for over 30 years of trading & friendship. Mountains of gratitude to Davmar, D.White, Sanchez, Elliot, The Florida Kid, Kloiber, Zingg, JTW, Bershaw, Boston Gold, Weeks, Dixon, Moore, Gough & SO many more for all that collecting & sharing... Royal thanks to The Man In The Palace, Doc Tinker, Brinkhoffs, Barely Eatin', Reel Master Gaule, Parrish & all the traders who housed me thru my music acquisition & travel years. Hats off to Brother Kent, Uncle Jake, Little Queenie (& her neighbor Frank) & his honor Ptomaine Thomas. Glasses raised to Byron for musical horizon expansion & much obliged to J & Thurston for keepin' my concert fires burnin' since my continental shift. Thanks to the Mods for keepin' DIME alive. Enjoy, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees
