Here's the first show from the Stormwatch tour and Dave Pegg's first JT show. I've never heard Ian come right out and say that Stormwatch is one of his most favorite JT LPs, but it hadn't been since the Passion Play tour that JT would come out and play most of the new LP to start the show. Stormwatch has always been a favorite of mine and it was the first time I saw JT perform - already familiar with the new LP, Bursting Out and Trousersnakes. With UK opening the show, I was totally blown away - only to be devestated when I learned that Ian fired most of the band and had a brand new band for the A tour (but that's the next story).

As I said, this is the opening night of Stormwatch and, as far as I know, this is the only live performance of The Flying Dutchman that I am aware of. Great song and Ian would ressurect the opening of FD for the introduction of My God performed in the '90s. Old Ghosts is also played which was dropped for the remainder of the US leg of the tour shortly after this show. The LP's best track North Sea Oil has never been performed live. No Lullaby is also performed which was also quickly dropped into the tour.
