comments:
most of the show from Providence on the Stormwatch tour
This one has a tape flip cut that misses a large chunk of
the end of Heavy Horses and the beginning of the flute solo
in my opinion not the worst place to miss something. The rest is
all here, I think, a slightly shorter show than Boston
and NYC. the deck and mikes were the same setup used
for Boston 1979 and the recording quality is closely comparable.
I haven't played this much, since Boston is my favorite Stormwatch
Tull show, but this one is good too, just a few days after the
rose-eyed romance affair in NYC. (Ian comments about that in both
the Prov. and Boston shows). A little less audience noise on this
than Boston show, basically the same setlist, and a show anyone who
likes a good recording of a Tull 70's show would enjoy hearing.
all but the encore track will fit on 1 80 min. CD but if you'd prefer
less than a crammed 1st disc you can start disc 2 with track 11.
thanks to B.G. for making the recording.
