THE INTERVIEWS:

I received this from the interviewer over a decade ago,
and am sorry, but I can't remember his name.
He is obviously well schooled in things Tull resulting in a great set of interviews.

THE SOUND:
Not that great, but OK
Ian's interview sounds better than Martin's

THE LINEAGE:
mono cassette on a table with interviewer and interviewee > to me on cassette > digitized, and volume boost (Martin) with Audacity > Flac8 via xAct

AN ALMOST RAW TRANSFER
Since these interviews contains NO MUSIC I decided to do a little doctoring, which I usually eschew.
A - Ian's interview is unchanged, except #4 below
B - Martin's interview had VERY low volume (and lots of hiss) so all four below were done.

1 - playback on azimuth-optimized cassette deck with Dolby ON
2 - volume boost, post-digitization, using Audacity
3 - removed some of the bumps when there was no talking involved.
4 - cut one channel and duplicated the other. Since it's mono anyway this reduces the file size

Throughout the interviews, the table and/or microphone gets bumped causing volume spikes resulting in distortion (clipping).
