It took me a awhile to decide to share this gem. I had the pleasure of talking with Jim after this show. We had our picture taken together by a lovely blond woman
and Jim not only signed 3 cds for me he also took the time to tell me about the people on the front & back covers of his Whale Meat Again album and made it clear
that I'm probably the ONLY person he has ever discussed the details with...needless to say I'm honored. This was the 1st live performance Jim did a few days after the RNR hall of fame induction.
He was very engaging and had lots of great stories to tell between songs...seemly oblivious to the fact that a 2nd show was tightly scheduled after this early show. The band "met" and rehearsed
"2 days ago"...the exception would be Jim's longtime Friend on guitar. The show was a loose affair- definitely felt like a the warm-up gig it was. The Point is a modern version of the old Main Point, but it's more like seeing a show at a Starbucks.
The sound system was not made for a loud rock band so you'll hear more band than vocal and even though I boosted the volume on the stories you may want to wear headphones to completely appreciate Jim's
storytelling. Ironically Jim talks about George Harrison & Chris Wood and how he misses them both. Like many I'm still in shock that Jim died less than a year after this show and I truly feel like I'm sharing a real treasure. I know he was diagnosed shortly after this performance and I may be sharing
one of the last live recordings from this great musician and I'll never forget the 10 minutes he shared with me after the show.

Share & Enjoy.
