Recorded from KBOO FM again this year. KBOO is an all volunteer radio station that has been broadcasting this festival for 20 years. There will be some inherrent reception problems and some drops in the music from time to time, but I have tried to "fix" all where possible.

Recently transplanted in Portland, award-winning R&B guitar man Rick Welter combines the raw edge of the Blues with the funky sexuality of R&B. He and his band have been giving a legion of fans heaping helpings of timeless American Roots Music for years. Hailing from Albany New York, Welter got stuck knee-deep in the blues upon his arrival in Chicago, Illinois. A few years later he arrived in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he had the opportunity to share the stage with some legendary musicians, notably John Lee Hooker, Boz Scaggs, Jimmy Reed, Elvin Bishop, and guitarist Mel Brown. Welter also toured the U.S. & Canada with master-blaster Charlie Musselwhite, which included numerous appearances at various music festivals including the world renowned Chicago Blues Festival with special guest "Big" Walter Horton.
