This was a very interesting show, some musicians were local talent from the
New York area, some from Canada and one musician a mere 6 years old !, one
thing in common was the love & respect for genius Jimi Hendrix who to this
date even gone 40 years ago now still evokes curiosity among new generations
of musicians around the world, his impact upon music and mankind will never
diminish.

Starting off the show was a teenage kind of band called Grounded, consisting
of 12 year old bassist Katelin Deutsch who is no stranger to big venues already,
on guitar was Alex Raz 13 years old firecracker on guitar and not to ever forget
Julian Pavone 6 year old drummer who is no joke folks he's the real deal and look
out for him to make it huge, not a bad gig at all here from these youngsters.

Next was New York's very own, Popa Chubby who still manages to wow new fans at
every show with his brand of high powered guitar, some really nice takes on Jimi's
classics , really liked "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp".

Another New York native Jimmy Bleu and his tribute band Voodoo Child considered by
themselves the longest running Hendrix tribute band around put on some nice takes
on Jimi's music, Jimmy Bleu has a taste for the theatrics with his costumes and stage
mannerisms with some magic tricks on guitar thrown in for good measure, all in all
a really nice set here.

Another New Yorker Andre Lasalle comes back again for his second year in a row with
his new band Premonition to once again entertain the crowd with his vision of some of
Jimi's song's which i really like because he does some of the ones that don't get
played to death, also invited onstage was Jimi's friend Paul Caruso to join in with
the harmonica, some really nice guitar solo's here.

Lance Lopez, a regular now at the Hendrix Birthday tributes had to give up a lot of his
time due to time constraints at this particular show since there was one more band to go
and not much time left with another show scheduled this night so basically it was a hit
and run, too bad this was a short short set with Lance playin a funky bluesy version of
Jimi Hendrix "Lover Man", "Driving South ", "Rainy Day, Dream Away", really would of liked
to see Lance Relax and get into it but didn't happen that way.

Last up was Corky Laing's Allstars featuring Corky Laing of Mountain and Eric Schenkman of
The Spin Doctors plus Malcome Bruce ( Jack Bruce Son )on bass and Josh Horton on vocal's.
