I arrived while the first band was playing. Since I had never heard of
them I found a spot and went to put on the gear. I finished up as they
were fuinishing their last song. Mitch Wood and his Rocket 88s came on
second. They put on a good set, more a 50's type boogie woogie band. Not
what I listen to normally but I expect more than a few folks know of them
and will like this. Between sets I ran into a taper friend who wasn't
taping. He grabbed the seat mext to me so I was surrounded by quiet people
or a shrub divider to the vip area. The Jimmy Cliff set started a bit late
due to setup issues but he came out on fire. The set included his big hits,
some great covers and his own material. I didn't stay for the last band
because it wasn't someone I needed to see and wanted to beat traffic. I
went for Jimmy Cliff and got my money's worth.
