Notes: This was a local arts commision show bringing Duck to Grenada as a 'Friday afternoon on the Square" event. I went out of curiousity and a love of the blues. I was pleasently surprised as Duck played an informative and entermtaining show for over an hour. And of course the price was right (FREE!).

I like to share this type of show with the group as I know that very few have a chance to hear raw blues performed live. As Duck explains, his style is Bneotnia blues and ea carries the bass lines and finger picks his way through the entire hour. I think that his dialogue with the crowd (of about 35) is as important as the music. He frames the songs in the context of the origin of each and a little history adds to the flavor of the performance.

The sound guy had a few glitches with the PA but it is minor. There is also some background traffic and crowd noise but, hey, it was downtown. The worth of the recording is in the enjoyment that the listeneer gets time and time again. I think you will certainly enjoy this as the sound is generally A+.
