Die 5000. Jazzsendung beim S�dwestfunk sollte gefeiert werden und der damalige SWF-Redakteur Joachim-Ernst Berendt w�nschte sich zu diesem Ereignis unter anderem ein Konzert mit Joachim K�hn. Dessen erstes Album hatte Berendt produziert, als dem Leipziger seine Heimat zu eng geworden und er der DDR den R�cken gekehrt hatte in Richtung Westen. Gro�e Erfolge feierte der Pianist in den n�chsten Jahren auch durch die Unterst�tzung Berendts, der K�hns k�nstlerisches Potential als einer der ersten erkannte. F�r das Jubil�umskonzert 1975 in Freiburg lie� sich Joachim K�hn also nicht lange bitten und kam mit einer prominent besetzten Jazz-Rock-Band: Dabei waren der Japaner Terumasa Hino (Trompete), der Belgier Philip Catherine (Gitarre), der Brasilianer Nan� Vasconcelos, die Amerikaner Alphonse Mouzon (Schlagzeug) und John Lee (Bass) und nat�rlich er selbst, Joachim K�hn, an den Tasten.
