Using a borrowed guitar - hers was lost on a Delta Airlines flight to Boston - Baez overcame steady showers, blending
her songs of love, protest and activism. 'It's only rain upon our heads,' Baez sang, straying from the lyrics of the
David Massengill love ballad 'Fairfax County.' # The show is not without its problems, which the taper had to contend
with, most of which was beyond his (or her) control. Besides the rain there seems to be some interference by
walkie-talkies (for example during Biko). The volume of the recording varied a lot. Some parts were very quiet, other
parts were fine. There was also a lot of fluctuation between channels. I did the best I could to even it out with
iZotope (remastered 2020-5-30). The sound starts out very muffled, but gets a lot better during The Rose.
