Back for another day at the Marin County Fair. We arrived just as the soundcheck
was starting. Security wouldn't let anyone on the island to get seats so I had to
quickly assemble gear to get the soundcheck. It was far away and doesn't sound great
but still better than alot of the posted Joan Jett recordings. Since I was using my
old batteries I only got two songs plus a bit. We got our usual seats and waited for
show. Lots of people who knew Joan Jett from the early days and lots of kids who know
of her through video games. Before the set started the people in front left and then
four women showed up. Two of them could have passed really looked like trouble and
one was so wasted she could barely stand. She was standing, falling forward and then
falling into chair and pushing her friends around. We had three seats and did our best
to avoid her but twice she flailed her arms hitting me. She was also swinging her
neighbors purse around and I envisioned her puking at some point. Her friends made weak
attempts to take her out but finally the drunk lady storms off. We got lucky. All in
all a really good set. I had never seen Joan Jett before but will see her again.
I am very happy with the results. Enjoy.
