Joe Ely: guitar & vocals

Known 1st gen, no info on recorder or transfer

Really great performance from the days when a solo acoustic
Ely show was a novelty for both the crowd and Ely himself.
This was Ely's first appearance at Johnny D's, and this show
was recorded by my friend Barry with Ely's OK, so aside from
those mumbley moments (and for once there are very few), it's
a very solid, clear recording. I do remember Barry's gear was
on a tripod well above the crowd. Unfortunately, there is a
Fan From Hell who gets insistent about requests and tries to
have conversations. Ely handles her gracefully but, well.
