Joe Ely,... one of the three legendary Flatlanders. Butch Hancock, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Joe Ely. Here, he plays alone. Just him and his acoustic guitar. (Joe also plays electric. There's a very good torrent, on Dime, right now,... recorded in Italy. If you're interested, check it out.) This is an excellent sounding show, and Joe tells some very nice stories. (There's one about the circus and Guy Clark, that I particularly like.) You can't argue with the setlist, either. A very enjoyable show! I have more Joe Ely shows that I'll be posting at some point in the future,... but I can't say when, yet. I'm trying to go with the flow, and head where my muse takes me! Right now, some of the other shows, that I have, are really perking my ears up! :O)

Oh,... one more thing! This show is worth downloading, just so you can hear Joe's version of "Tecumseh Valley!" (I'll be sure to make that one of the samples!)

I've been posting a lot of extremely high quality, uncirculated, shows recently. I still have more to post, but if you're getting in on this run late,... you might want to take a look at some of my past uploads. There's some really great stuff there! Most of my torrents have samples,... so don't be afraid to explore new names, and listen to the samples. I try to choose my samples in such a way that they both exhibit the quality of the recording,... and give somebody that doesn't know the artist, a feeling for what the
artist is all about. Yes,... that's a bit hard with just a few short samples,... but I DO try!

One of the great things about Dime is discovering new artists. This show is a very good place to start, with Joe Ely!
