Very nice acoustic show from Joe and Plank here, with a couple of
songs added to the setlist along with a solid mix of the regular
rotation. Evanston Space is a tight mid-sized room just a few blocks
north of Chicago and a good room for Joe, and the sold-out crowd had
some great energy without getting too crazy. The edits to the banter
tracks were pretty gentle and the music was untouched; the simple
li'l Edirol came through pretty nicely here. I have to say I'd slide
this one pretty high on my list of Joe/Plank duo shows. Thanks as
always to all the archivists keeping this great music out there.
And thanks to Joe and his pickers, of course. Check out B4 84, his
fascinating little document of Hi-Res much as originally conceived,
and grab his new novel, "Reverb," when it comes out in a few weeks.
You'll probably be able to come up with a playlist for it.
