Joe Jackson's Body And Soul Tour is my favorite of his tours. I'd stumbled onto his Body and Soul and Mike's Murder albums in '84 while living with my parents in California, and I fell in love. And so did my parents, probably because I was pounding his music into their heads since the LPs were on my turntable so often. The three of us were able to hit a number of his open air May '84 concerts in California (I was still too young to attend them myself). I thought him to be so rude and fresh.

When this show was first posted by our German brother Hermann in Nov. '05 it was immediately banned because the very first track was "(a) song was played from tape as an introduction at the beginning of the concert. Very poor quality, sounds like an cassette recorder behind a curtain...this can be redone without the official track." So it was reposted without the intro track. A lot has been changed this time: The labeling on the individual tracks has been brought up to DIME standards. I moved the applause and chit chat from the beginnings of tunes to the ends of the prior tunes (so each new track starts off with a tune). A .ffp file was created. And the setlist has been corrected. But the audio was unchanged, including Hermann's fade ins and outs. Hermann's original setlist temains as a separate document.
