I've decided to remaster some of my master recordings. Having the benefit of better software and more experience as an engineer than a couple of years ago, there's quite a bit of recordings that could be improved upon. If there's a lot of interest there will be many more to follow.

ORIGINAL NOTES

This is my recording of Joe Jackson's 2007 Antwerpen show featuring Graham Maby and Dave Houghton. Lots of songs from a soon to be recorded new album and some interesting covers and oldies. The band sounds a lot better than last year and they're obviously having a good time. The sound at the venue was excellent and the recording turned out great, I didn't change anything except for fades at the start and end of both discs.

REMASTERING NOTES:

As the original master was basically a raw recording, this one needed quite a bit of remastering. First of all Har-Bal 2.3 was used for re-EQing with the official "Citizen Sane" as a reference. This brought Graham Maby's boomy bass down and made the recording sound less muddy. Also, a lot of limiting was done on the applause and the volume of individual tracks were adjusted where this was appropriate. Overall the new master is a significant improvement and one of my better recordings. Check out the sample below and find out. Artwork can be found in the torrent. Enjoy!
