Notes:
This was one of those shows you attend tape and forget about. At the time, I was married to my now ex who did not want to attend with me so I ended up going to the show by myself. I couldn’t pass up a chance to see Joe and certainly tape the concert so I just went. I got a pretty decent single seat right in the middle of the front center section. This put me basically 16th row center and it was perfect. The folks around me seemed polite and quiet as I recall and overall I had a good time enjoying the show.
I used my older Sound Pro mics and battery box at the time which always seemed to perform pretty well but at this show, I think something started to go wrong. I'm not sure what the issue was exactly, the levels were good and not too hot. But I suspect the battery box may of been an issue, possibly a low battery or something and as a result there seemed to be way too much low end causing some distortion in the audio. It's not that bad but I recall being mildly disappointed with the sound and so I let this one sit on my hard drive until now when I finally decided to do something with it. There wasnt much I could do to improve it nor did I want to but I made a small minor adjustment, then brought the levels up to normal and I think it’s a tolerable recording. Still a little bassy/boomy but OK. The was also a channel issue at the start of the show which was probably due to the mic cord getting pulled a bit as I settled. This only lasted for a couple seconds.
Overall, not one of my best but it's a good listen. I kept it in its original 24 bit format so if you need to put this to CD then you will have to down sample this first.
Also, Kenny Wayne Shepherd did open up for Joe as well. Although I don’t really remember that set, I did manage to capture it and completely forgot I had it until now. I have not done anything with it yet unless there is some demand for it. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the show!
