British born blues legend John Mayall has released more than fifty albums during his career: He is one of the most prolific and celebrated active artists in the blues genre. This show featured music spanning his whole career, from the 1966 "Beano" album, a blues/rock classic that features young Eric Clapton on guitar, to his 2009 Eagle Records' release, "Tough". Though Mayall has lived in California for decades, on June 10, 2005, Queen Elizabeth named John Mayall an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.

John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers received a warm welcome from over a thousand fans at The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts on Remembrance Day 2009. A delighted Mayall gave a three-hour long concert, some highlights of which are captured in this CBC Radio 1 'live-to-air' digital radio broadcast recording.
