comments:
Take a little piece of Shakti (Shankar), throw in a former
Mahavishnu keyboard player (Goldberg) and the drummer for
Jeff Beck/Jan Hammer Group, and you get Paul Pierce.
(of the NBA Boston Celtics) A/K/A "the Truth", well sorta,
actually you get something called the "One Truth Band"
who play one of the highlight songs from the album
"Electric Guitarist" (track 4 here) with John throwing in a
banjo solo. It sounds pretty good, and fortunately the tape
flip doesn't cut it. This is the second U.S. tour of OTB, the
band John put together after deciding close to 3 years of
Shakti was nice but it's time to plug it in again. this was
long before Pierce was playing basketball, but it's from the
land where he found his truth in hoopville, U.S.A.
Wonder if he ever listened to these guys. If not, he should,
and so should you.
The One Truth Band has 2 studio albums and tours. In 1978,
Electric Guitarist, and in 1979, Electric Dreams. the 1978
band started with Sonship and T.M. Stevens. Both of them were
very good too but were replaced later that year due to internal
conflict. (according to John's official web site).
do not sell this recording.
Trade freely and losslessly.
