Another show at Brian's Backyard BBQ & Blues turns up another surprise in the
road less traveled as John Nemeth and his band put on a splendid performance
on a low key Sunday night, that didn't seem to matter much to these guys at all.

After hearing from owner Brian Remaley about how good of a harmonica player and
singer John Nemeth was, i guess i had to see for myself.

Well these guys are a well oiled, seasoned bunch of old school flavored bluesmen,
reminiscent of Ray Charles, B.B.King, Junior Wells, with a dash of James Brown to
add a little funk to the mix, John's vocals are deeply emotional at times, but it's
the riveting dynamic harmonica playing that gets your attention.

As typical with all live music, many covers are played here as John mentions the
importance of paying tribute to all his idols, at the same time saying how important
it is to write your own music and sell that so you can get "Mailbox Money", truth be
told.

Couple highlights from the show include Percy Sledge's "The Dark End Of The Street"
& Howard Tates "Stop" which was made famous by Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Miles who
sang vocals, haven't heard anybody else do that song so this was a treat in itself.

All in all a very unexpected surprise by these guys who are very entertaining and
energetic fellows, down to earth and friendly so if you want to check out some old
school flavored bluesmen with lots of harmonica these are the guys to check out!
