Bonus Track

10. Amalgamate

Running Time - 33:09 minutes

New lineage:

BBC Website @ 320KBS > Total Recorder > 16bit/44.1kHz stereo WAV > CD Wave edits > FLAC8 > Dime Download > Creative X-Fi Titanium Pro Sound Card > Adobe Audition for editing with Izotope Ozone 5 for Sound Enhancement > Flac L8

All thanks go to jcarr73729 for recording the show and posting at Dime.

The original recording suffered from bad phasing and a noisey web advert that was accidentaly opened during recording. I have removed the offending advert and as for the phasing, Most of the sound was coming from the left channel. I did my best to straighten and widen the field in an attempt to better the stereo sound. The Phase is so narrow that I beleive this was originally broadcast in mono. ICBW but evidence of this was corroborated by comparing the Dime post to another persons recording found at soundcloud. Both had a very very narrow phase except the soundcloud version was centered. To bad it was lossy.

The BBC Radio 3 website mentions 6 tracks but only 5 were broadcast. All the pieces seemed to blend into one another very nicely so I have included a Bonus track made of all the tracks combined called Amalgamate.

This is a pretty good show, For two guys who just met Jones and Dahlen are pretty interesting to bad its only about 28 minutes of music culled from their nine hours of studio time. I think you will find this to be a nice upgrade over the original. cd art by myself included

enjoy!!

Below are some of jcarr73729s personal notes from the original text file.

The BBC Radio 3 HD live webcast is far better quality than the 192kbps digital radio service, and a good substitute for the FM service, which is poor quality where I live.

Personal Notes:
I've waited a week to see if anyone else had recorded this broadcast and uploaded it to Dime. There is a small problem with my recording. I opened another webpage, with noisy adverts on it, during the recording of this audio stream. It's for 8 seconds at 4:32 in Piece No. 2. I'll take this down if someone uploads a better recording.

The two musicians had not met before the recording, so the performance is totally improvised, and largely ambient in feel.
