It's been about a month since I got something else up here on easytree, but an impending move to Alaska has swallowed most of my time; however, I found a few moments this evening and thought I would get this excellent FM-sourced Prine show up for your enjoyment. This gig is often confused in trading circles for the 07.13.78 show from My Father's Place in Hempstead, New York, because the setlists are so similar -- in fact, it took me several trades to get the correct show from a few folks who swore they had this Bottomline gig (one guy sent me three different versions of the show swearing he had been at the venue and I was definitely receiving the Bottomline performance, even though the announcer clearly states on Track One of all three versions, "Welcome to My Father's Place". But, that's neither here nor there. I'm happy to give you this nice-sounding recording (with a little light noise in the background, but nothing that interferes with your listening enjoyment) with a great setlist, a spirited John, and some nice back-up musicians. You want hear John perform many of the songs from this show anymore, so this is well-worth having. In my opinion, any setlist with one of Prine's most underrated songs, "Blue Umbrella", is worth the bandwidth, download time, and burning process.

Please keep in mind I will jump-off once we have a few seeds. Please keep those windows open and enjoy!
