16 bit version
From the collection of Bob Hamilton, donated to me for transfer by bigdaddybflo after Bob's passing.
Transferred & mastered by }{eywood
Lineage: Maxell UDS-II 90 cassette (it is impossible to definitively pin down a generation on Bob's tapes if he didn't write it down, as he is no longer with us to consult) > JVC TD-W354 playback deck > Adobe Audition 1.5 (recording to 24/96 .wav, EQ, peak limiting, splits & fades) > Xrecode III (conversion to 16/44.1) > TLH (sector alignment, flac 8)
This tape was not in the best condition. The recording was very thin sounding and quiet, so quiet the dialogue is barely audible at all. The low end and overall volume have been boosted at the expense of additional broadband noise. There's a weird heartbeat noise that is very prominent throughout Donald & Lydia up to Fish & Whistle that I tried like hell to remove but the artifacts were just as annoying. It was instead toned down by the removal of the extra low end added to the rest of the recording. I have no idea what this is. It sounds like the beginning of Dark Side of the Moon.
