We were late for two reasons. First, one of my friends plugged in GPS coordinates for the wrong Ferg's. When I looked up, we were heading across the bay to St. Petersburg. We still managed to get to the real Ferg's by 6:30, which should have been in time according to set list times that I thought I had seen posted. However, when we got out of the car I could hear the music and knew that we had screwed up. I can't stand incomplete recordings, and to start the cruise adventure with one was maddening. I also question the wisdom of an acoustic set to start the festivities. This was a crowd full of people who hadn't seen each other in over a year, ninety percent of whom were more interested in greeting each other than listening to the performance.
