Source: super excellent audience recording, many says it's a soundboard one. Johnny's voice is a bit low on the mix, but the instruments are in excellent shape.
It's the most requested show from my list, for trade, and it deserves all the attention. I got it some years ago in a trade with my friend Frank Caccese, a big JW and Roy BUchanan fan that taped many shows of both artists. I don't know if Frank taped this specific show. I received it in cdrs that Frank transfered from his tapes (the master or very very low generation) to his stand-alone Sony burner. I used Cool Edit Pro to do a few edits.
Frank quoted about this show: "A full 2 hours and 35 min! Many rarities in the set list! After the drum solo Johnny Winter came back with the Bass and Jon Paris came out with the Guitar. Johnny was having such a good time that he continued playing Bass all the way thru 4 more songs after a quick ending to Mona. Jon and Johnny both did vocals on You Can't Catch Me and Let's Have A Party, with Jon singing Rockabilly Boogie and Johnny singing Love Her With A Feeling, which is pretty amazing in how JP's guitar playing sounded just like JW. But then again it could have been Johnny at times because they did that thing where Johnny stood behind Jon and reached thru his arms and played the guitar while Jon reached backwards and played the Bass. They did this a few times and it was so cool! This was one heck of a show, the drum solo was pretty wild also. My favorite JW show out of many ".
By the way, I've lost the connection with Frank Caccese, he used to live (at least till 2004) in Wynnewood, PA. Any member over here knows him? Any connection or neighbourhood?
Please be patient, my bandwidth is very limited. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Another JW torrents upon requests, from my list.
