Johnny Winter at Stone Ballon, Newark, Delaware - April 07, 1980

On 1980, promoting then currently album "Raisin' Cain" (an excellent one, IMHO), Johnny shortned the long sets, ranging in about 75/90 minutes that would remain till today. This one is another barely cirulated audience recording and one of the best of this year from audience, recorded by my pal Frank Caccese from Wynnewood, PA. Frank recorded many JW show - many of them on the Chestnut Cabaret, near his home - and also many Roy Buchanan shows, he is a big Roy fan too. Unfortunely I've lost the contact to Frank, he simply vanished! Does Any Dime member know him and gimme some news?

Frank, as always, sent me this recording in a cdr burned in a stand alone burner (unknown model). Also I don't know his gear to tape the shows. The cdr came with only two tracks (one for each tape side) then I used Cool Edit Pro software the adjust the levels, skip the blancs and index the tracks.

It's a very good performance with many "crazy" and talkative audience members around the taper, having a party.
