You may remember almost two years ago I offered one Rory Gallagher recording from each year he performed, then last year in December (2007) I started offering two
Rory recordings from each year. During those offer our great Johnny Winter collecting & sharing friend, Francisco Silva also started offering johnny Winter recordings.
Francisco also started offering one JW recording from each year. Well, I'm going to try to offer two JW recordings from each year. If you're familiar with my Rory
offers, I was offering them at a decent rate, but please do not expect me to be offering them at a fast rate, as I don't know if I can committ the needed time to make
quick offers, but I promise to be persistant & keep them coming, until I finish. I apologize if any of my JW offers duplicate any previous JW offers, especially
Francisco's. I did not download all of Francisco's offers, as some had come from my collection, so I do not have a good record of all of his offers, etc.

Johnny Winter .... January 11(?12?), 1984
Grand Central Station, Phoenix, Arizona, USA

torrent size: 11 tracks; 76:39 minutes; ~404MB flacs, etc.
Source: AUD> trade cassettes(?unknown, & 1st gen?; see notes below)> CDR> (wav) EAC (secure mode)> (flac) Flac Frontend level 6 (align on sector boundaries)
Artwork: none included, but an artwork contribution would be very much appreciated, by all.
Transfers: Francisco Silva (Brasil). Thank You!!
source & remarks from Francisco: most of the length (42 minutes) is from a very good audience tape, told me as 1st generation copy (and stated as "January 12"),
brighter than the second source, but it's very fragmented. Seems it was dubbed from the master tape as a "best of", lacking good edits. Almost all songs are cut in &
out. A second source (listed as "January 11"), a fine audience tape (74 minutes long, almost complete missing track 7 due to the tape flip) was used to fill all the
gaps and on tracks 1, 5 and 8, all three absent on first better source. Usual energetic performance!
JAJ (roryglzep) note: The 42 minute source Francisco speaks of came from my 1st gen tape, but this offer is the matrix work that Francisco speaks of above. The
following setlist was taken from Francisco's web page.

Set List:

1. hideaway
2. slow down
3. black cat bone

medley:
4. highway 61 revisited
5. drum solo by Moe Potts
6. shake your money maker
7. highway 61 revisited [conclusion]

8. Robert Johnson medley [with lines of many RJ songs]
9. johnny b. goode
10. it's all over now
11. okie dokie stomp

Additional Note: Please visit Francisco Silva's great Johnny site(s), as he has put in an enormous amount of works towards everything JW!!

Personally, I think Francisco is the most dedicated JW collector I have had the pleasure of meeting online. He has so much passion for collecting & sharing JW. He is
meticulous in his transfers, where he's constantly comparing sources, etc. I can only thank him for the literal hundreds of my JW tapes he has transferred over the
years. THANX!!!
