10 tracks, 69:29 This is the ENTIRE concert.

I got this tape in a trade about 15 years ago. I was assured
by the trader that this tape contains the whole performance.
I was not present at the show and am not familiar with the
venue so here is a brief description of the concert tape:

1) As mentioned above, this recording is complete.

2) The audience is fairly well-behaved. There is some talking
and shouting somewhat close to the taper but the music volume
tends to drown most of it out. No whistling or screaming.

3) There is no distortion present. There are no speed problems
or any other serious faults to prevent you from enjoying this
show.

4) This is a very clear recording. The instruments
come through clearly and distinctly. The vocals are almost
always clear. There is very little stage banter.
It sounds to me like the taper was very close to the
stage at this venue. I don't think that this is a DAT recording ;
did DATs exist in 1991 ? I don't know ; you tell me. It's
most likely a high-grade analog recording. I graded this show
a 9-9.5/10 because a few of JW's vocals are a little bit
hard to hear and also because of the audience talking mentioned
above. The concert is a bit short as his shows go but
you'll shit your pants in pure delight when you hear how he
burns on guitar... your pants full of shit...how much more of
an endorsement do you need ???

5) Just a brief heads-up : This is the first time that I used
Trader's Little Helper to convert wav to flac and also the
first time that I converted wav to flac with the "align to
sector boundaries" option activated. I HOPE ALL WENT WELL AS
EXPECTED. (I didn't reconvert flac to wav, burn to CD and
listen to the product). If there are ticks between any tracks,
I give up. I'm positive that I did everything correctly. I
think that people may be able to fix that on their own, IF
there would be a problem. See The Guvner's fixed Rush torrent
for hints & answers. Post info if you find anything that's
screwed up. I've always used Flac Frontend for wav to flac
with no problems.

6) Two minor points : Track 02 is called The Sun Is Shining but
the lyrics here are WAY different from the same song found
on Johnny's legit release "Live In NYC '97". The refrain in
this song here goes "All dressed up, ain't got no place to go",
which is what I almost used as a title. Fairly interesting, huh ?

There is a section in Track 07 (Mean Town Blues) where it sounds
like Johnny references a different song ; sounds like he's
singing something about hammers (?). If you can explain what's
going on here, please post an answer.

So there you have it. This is the raw recording that I've had lo
these many years. I changed NOTHING about this recording except
to track it and to remove a very short section of audience
screaming and applause. No music is missing. That's about all
that I can think of to say, so let's wrap this up.

Finally, please don't buy, sell or convert this show to mp3 or any other
lossy format. Please seed this as long as you can. Please trade
this freely as it probably is uncirculated. This show will be a
welcome addition to any Johnny Winter fan's collection. I will post a
sample to help some of you decide whether or not to download it,
but trust me, the show is excellent. As you can see, the setlist is
fantastic. The song titles should be correct. If you know the correct name
of the final instrumental, PLEASE post it. I don't think that ANY
Johnny Winter fan will regret downloading this show. He burns down the
house on this one, so if you've seen him recently and think he's great,
you won't believe your ears when you hear the guitar work featured here.
You'll see the difference between JW 1991 and JW 2007. So, as Mr. Natural
is so fond of saying, have fun, don't freak out and enjoy the concert !
