Johnny Winter - fast life rider in 1994 + FM bonus

Johnny Winter at Big Dogs', Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 31, 1994 - Tom Compton's birthday.

By 1994 Johnny was a 50 years old lord, his playing & singing are still masterful but in a slower speed than on the previous years; some reports from this era (since some '93 performances) say something was wrong with him, he was not moving too much on the stage. Tom Compton & Jeff Ganz were excellent, as always. Actually this is a fine performance overall, with the exception of the "lovelight" medley which is SUPERB, with 25 minutes of the "old" magic and fluency.

This is the last show of the "Jeff Ganz era" that has surfaced till now. And, I hate to admit, it marks the end of a golden era, in its 25 years jubilee. For God's sake, after an eleven year hiatus, we now have our master kicking ass again. God bless Paul Nelson, his current manager.

To fill the second disc, I've added a Public Radio broadcast fragment, as the DJ's said from Blue Stage, Memphis, Tennessee on May 92 (no excat date). 3 minutes of Mojo Boogie is usually available after last song, then there is an abrupt cut. I threw this fragment out in my recording.
