Notes:
There is one good thing about getting old. Sometimes you get to see
some of your heroes up close. Johnny is looking frail these days, and
he may not play like he once did when he signed the biggest contract CBS
records ever paid to a new artist. But he's still very much the real deal.
And now you get to listen to the master from one table away. Couldn't
do that in '69. Enjoy him while you can. This is an excellent recording
from one of the finest venues in the mid-Atlantic, if not the country.
