2 x Audio Technica 803S mics>WM D6>TDK MA 90 (Dolby On)>Apple G4 iBook>Amadeus Pro>Track Mark/Align On Sector Boundaries>Flac level 5

I sat on the balcony, front row, mics on lapels, facing forwards.

NOTE :
Now there are a few problems with this recording. It sounds ok now. I need to tell you all about the mics.

When I first started recording, I could only afford to buy one mic. I went to my hifi store and they put me onto the Audio Technica 803S, which I bought. When I was more financial I went back and bought another. Problem was it was different, different cable length, level was different, sound was different - store wouldn't take it back, I was stuck with it. Fortunately I lent them to someone and they were stolen from his car, replaced with 2 Sony ECM 50s, but that was later.

With this recording, I set the levels with the support band, however Jonathan was much quieter and with the levels boosted to the max there was hardly any level showing. After 'Hang On Sloopy', I changed the setting from 'Line In' to the mic input and consequently had a better recording. That said I have had to boost the left hand channel to compensate for the damn microphone! So the first 3 tracks suffer from noise from having to boost a low level start and the same deal re left hand channel. I have used a little noise reduction, but only on these three tracks.

There was also hiss coming from the PA, you'll hear an exchange between the audience and Jonathan.

The performance by Jonathan was nothing short of fantastic, the crowd loved him, I have also reduced some of the applause.

He was support for John Cale and at the start of John Cale's set, Jonathan came out and they performed 'Pablo Picasso' together, and that my friends will be in the next upload for you all to look forward to.

But listen to this, it truly is wonderful, Jonathon is disarming, charming and had the audience eating out of his hand.
