Notes:

On a bill with Jesse Colin Young, The Band, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

This was professionally filmed but not released.

The beginning of this tape has a lot of crackling and fuzzing. The overall sound quality is a bit rough.

You can check out this website that talks all about this days event and all the other performers.

You'll notice it shows a slightly different set list for Joni's performance, (why, I don't know)

For the encore, Joni brings out singer Annie Ross, who joins in and sings on her 1952 song "Twisted".

Another huge outdoor stadium concert in London's Wembley Stadium, but this was a fairly rare event as it featured a bevy of infrequently seen west coast superstars

who managed to attract a laid back crowd of around 72,000 people.

The event started a half hour early as promoter Harvey Brooks was worried about the show over running , no doubt there were penalties for going past the agreed time.

The scoreboard kept posting emergency messages for father-to-be to contact his wife / leave gig, ever more frantic as the day went on.

In the end, message was � congratulations it�s a �can�t remember what�which raised a huge cheer from the crowd.

I thought that the sound was good, huge banks of pa speakers, in days of 4 x 12 cabs.

In later life, met a roadie from the day who said they had to rewire/replace 1/2 the pa as they went along as speakers kept blowing.
