This was the penultimate concert of the 2014 Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival. I was expecting The Royal City Band and was surprised that it was just Josh doing a strictly acoustic set. I very quickly got over my surprise and disappointment. This turned out to be a great performance including some new songs.

There is some crowd noise here but really fairly minimal and only adds colour and charm. Sadly, I missed the first few seconds of Ritter's performance due to a cable that had come undone. I quickly realized it and corrected it. This was, after all, my 23rd of 24 recordings that weekend so I was a bit exhausted.

I have no doubt you'll enjoy this terrific performance and excellent recording.

Mastering engineer's notes: The intro and first 25 seconds of music were recorded in error with the internal mics. This portion has been removed from the recording, due to heavy distortion.

Fight the Loudness War! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudness_war
No compression was used in the post-processing of this recording to preserve it's dynamic range, listenability and authenticity.
This recording will naturally sound much better cranked up loud with quality headphones!
Peace & enjoy,
Seth
