I've seen this often listed as 1975-06-21. Newspaper clippings with announcements of the festival
and reviews prove Journey played on 1975-06-20.

On this site, it says they played in Ohio on 1975-06-21:
http://www.angelfire.com/music/collections/index2.htm
This list doesn't have a listing for Schaefer at all, but a complete list would be very unlikely, of course.

Then, this site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schaefer_Music_Festival
shows Journey on 1975-06-20 and not the 21st.

I thought it was safe enough to use 1975-06-20 as the date for this recording.

The quality tells us this is probably an audience tape.

Have fun!

History: Beginning in 1967 and through the early 70's, the F & M Schaefer Brewing Co. sponsored concerts in Central Park.
The concerts offered something for everyone. At $2.00 for first come/first serve orchestra seats, the shows were popular
and usually sold out. Hundreds would spend the day on line at the Wollman Rink to socialize and get the best seats.
Sadly, pressure from the neighborhood eventually forced the shows to the west side piers and much of the appeal was gone.
