Forgot enough 3.5mm patch leads so no preamp, mics direct into recorder. Is possible there was some overloading of the mic capsules due to underpowering. I cannot tell if there is, or if this is just the sound coming from the stage - TJF are very loud and distored anyway, and the drums in the AUD seem clean. So who knows. AUD was almost all stage volume, taped from front row underneath any of the PAs.

Wireless feed is complete and 99% free from interferance, mix was decent. Ritzy's feed. Some click track here and there, is unfortunate, but is par for the course with most bands these days unfortunately. It's fairly brief on most songs. There is some distortion wireless feed in the first song, the feed was coming through louder than I was expecting. It's not TOO bad, and then I dial down the volume before the end of the song and it settles for 99% of the rest of the show. Sorry about that.

Very simple matrix in Audition. No DRC or EQ. Just chucked 'em together and downmixed. I enveloped up Silent Treatment, but that's all. I have little time, skill or equipment to fuck around too much, and frankly, overprocessing is an easy trap to fall into. Keepin' it raw...

Sounds pretty good, though I'm never happy with the sounds of my tapes to be honest. One can always do better! Still can't shake the nasty feeling that the bass amp from the stage volume was distorting my mic capsules... and that rec distortion at the start of the wireless. Amatuer shit. Sigh.
