1995 found Juliana Hatfield following up the succcess of her "Become What You Are" album with "Only Everything." Here are two radio appearances recorded during the time she spent in England and Europe promoting its upcoming release. In June during her American tour she suffered from exhaustion which forced her to cancel her overseas itinerary, and she wouldn't perform in England again for another 10 years.

These 2 sessions a week apart evoke the variety of Juliana Hatfield the musician, the first is a rocking and noisy electrified set with her band while the second finds her alone with her acoustic guitar and gentlest voice. The real treasure found here is the only recorded version of her brother's song "Her Shovel," a must-hear for all JH fans.

There is a brief garbling in 2 places during "What a Life" present from the source tape. Due to analog cassette sources, there are hissing issues throughout, although once the music starts I don't notice it causing much distraction. Check the samples to gauge your level of tolerance. I have acquired the 2-Meter Session from 3 different people, and each has some level of significant source hiss, so this is probably the best we're likely to find. I normalized the sessions in case anyone wanted to burn them on a CD together, but I preferred not to mess with noise reduction (and thereby introducing artifacts.) Lastly, I removed some incomplete studio music played as outro to commercials at the end of "Universal Heart-Beat" and the closing of the BBC session in case they are considered copyrighted material - better safe than sorry.
