It was my first time in W�rzburg and the Cafe Cairo, home of the glorious Psychedelic Network Festival for a little (and sadly one time only, as Horst mentioned) "side-project" to that one.
"The Lucid Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus"
A sign and symbol against the "Brexit" in collaboration with the guys from the british "13th Dream Of Dr.Sardonicus"-festival.

A very big "THANK YOU" to Horst Porkert for this incredible event itself and a special one to dear Spacebandit, Miro, Rendel and Martin for giving me the opportunity to take part in this.
Hope it won't be my last time in W�rzburg !

Announced for the second day was ELECTRIC ORANGE ... and those guys were (beside DAMO of course) my most important reason to come to W�rzburg.
So you can imagine how disappointed I was, when I heard, that they were cancelled.
Day 2 of this festival started with their replacement : JULIE'S HAIRCUT from Italy ...
Well, I'd never heard of that band (and never would have paid attention to them ... SORRY, but THAT name made me think of them as a kind of garage-combo - as what they started in fact - already in 1999 (INTERNET MACHT SCHLAU - I keep that german :-)) ! - but still: What's so special about the haircut of which-Judie-ever ???)
but beside that wrong name-association - what an incredible worthy "substitute" !!!
Take a bowl of NEU!schnee, put it on a rocky post, add a saucerful of pink, some spoonful from the can, and bubble it up with some hawky tokes - and what you got you can listen to here.
To me THEE most surprising discovery of the festival and maybe the year ... never thought of some extraordinary psychedelia like that, when I read the name.
Sadly they had to leave very early for their next gig two hours later in N�rnberg, so they only could play about an hour, but that one was worth every single note.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION FOR EVERY FESTIVAL DEALING WITH PSYCHEDELIC SOUNDS TODAY !!!

There is almost no audience chatter, as the hall was still quite empty for this first (and unknown to almost everyone) band starting at about 13.30

So this is an excellent recording, although I was not in the dead center (as I usually am)
As always I did some EQing, just the common, raising heights (only a little this time) and adding a little to the bass drum
+ a little soundboard-like mastering-compression, but nothing pumping audible.
