Another Garczar recording. I'd give it a B+, slightly muffled in the beginning but gets better; a quiet and appreciative audience.

Garczar says:

Yes, it was at the the James Moore Theater inside of Laney College. It was part of the Koncepts Cultural Gallery's "Double Up" duet series. Koncepts had been displaced by their deceptive landlord and they were using Laney College as a temporary site to stage events while they searched for a permanent location. Sadly, they never found one.

It was just Hemphill/Wadud. They were both seated, Hemphill had had knee surgery which eventually lead to leg amputations. His legs, though thin and frail appeared to be intact at the time of the show. Hemphill played alto and soprano sax and Wadud played cello. It was one of the last times either one of them performed in public. Wadud is supposedly still alive but has long been suffering from a crippling disease of some kind.
